Middlesex County GovernmentData Processing Technician (September 2012 to present) |
Starting September 24, 2012, I joined the Middlesex County Government Information Technology department in their New Brunswick office. I primarily provide end user support for the Middlesex County Improvement Authority and their long-term care facilities, Roosevelt Care Center, located in Edison and Old Bridge.
As a member of the IT staff for Middlesex County, I set up and deploy desktops, laptops, touchscreen kiosks, network printers, BlackBerry and Android phones, and PDAs for use at the Roosevelt Care Center locations. This includes joining devices to the domain, making sure they're in the proper Organizational Units (OUs) on Active Directory, creating user accounts on AD, and resetting passwords. I've also helped maintain and manage shared folder permissions across file servers, including setting up RICOH machines with private scan folders used for confidential information.
Beyond my experiences with Roosevelt, I provide end user support to employees at the MCIA headquarters and their three golf courses: The Meadows at Middlesex, Raritan Landing Golf Course, and Tamarack Golf Course. This has included troubleshooting point-of-sale systems and providing remote support for day-to-day issues with the operating systems.
I also provide support to our employees in the County's main New Brunswick office, which involves configuring and deploying Wyse P20 Teradici Zero Clients in a VMware View Environment.
